Project evil tin man of oz nl by gemineyestudio-d9631mg

The Tin Woodman, better known as either the Tin Man or (incorrectly) the Tin Woodsman, (the third name appears only in adaptations, the first—and in rare instances, the second—was used by Baum), is a character in the fictional Land of Oz created by American author L. Frank Baum. Baum's Tin Woodman first appeared in his classic 1900 book, The Wonderful Wizard of Oz, and reappeared in many other Oz books.

In the Dorothy Must Die series, he is shown as a now sadistic killing machine along with other mechanical back-ups. He uses deadly bubbles to melt enemies. Known for doing all these horrible things for Dorothy. The Tin man has a romantic interest in Dorothy and follows all her orders without noticing that she doesn't caring about him or his feelings for her.

Appearance and Personality Edit

In the book, Amy described him as

"He looked more like a machine that had been cobbled together out of spare parts, a hodgepodge of scrap metal and springs and machinery pieces all held together by screws and bolts. His long, spindly legs were a complex construction of rods and springs and joints, and bent backward at his ankles like a horse’s legs; his face was pinched and mean, with beady, flashing metal eyes and a thin, cylindrical nose that jutted out several inches from his face and ended in a nasty little point. His oversize jaw jutted out from the rest of his face in a nasty underbight, revealing a mess of little blades where his teeth should have been."

He is shown to be sadistic, following every command of Dorothy. He uses deadly bubbles that melt enemies when in battle.

Background Edit

He was a woodcutter before, until an unnamed witch cursed his axe to chop off his body parts, with him being forced to replace each one with metallic tin parts, giving him the name Tin Woodman.

In the Dorothy Must Die series, he has been corrupted by the power of Dorothy's shoes given by Glinda. He also has an obsession with her which she rejects.
